Flanged Linear Bearings
Linear bushings with a mounting flange: LMF, LMEF, LMK and LMH types, bolting the bushing to a plate so the shaft passes through and the load is located.

A bushing that bolts down
A plain linear bushing floats in a housing bore; a flanged linear bearing carries its own locating flange, so it bolts to the face of a plate and holds its position by the fixing rather than by a press fit. That makes the flanged types the natural choice where the bushing must be positioned, replaced or spaced precisely — moving plates, gantry ends, tool changers and any assembly where the bushing is serviced from one side. The types divide by flange form, and the family's size span runs 10 to 240 mm across the types.
| Flanged type | Series code | Flange form in the type system |
|---|---|---|
| Round flange | LMF | Circular flange, bolted through |
| European round flange | LMEF | Circular flange in the EF series form |
| Square flange | LMK | Square flange, four fixings |
| Oval flange | LMH | Oval flange, two fixings |
Flanged bushings beside plain and housed types
The linear family offers three mountings for the same shaft idea: the plain LM bushing pressed or slipped into a housing, the SC housed unit that arrives in its own block, and this flanged form. The choice is a machining and maintenance choice. A buyer with a machined housing bore orders plain; a buyer bolting to flat plates orders flanged; a buyer who wants the block done orders the unit. The plain range the flanged types parallel, size for size in the standard steps, stands on the LM series page.
The recurring confusion: flanged bearing, three meanings
Flanged bearing is one of the most overloaded phrases a buyer can type. It can mean a linear bushing with a flange — the flanged linear bearing. It can mean a flanged deep groove ball bearing from the F-series, a rotating bearing with a locating lip. Or it can be a loose way of naming a flange mounted unit, a housed bearing that bolts to a frame. Separate the three by their code systems before ordering — the comparison page does exactly that — because an inquiry that just says flanged bearing will be priced against whichever meaning the reader reaches first.
Specifying a flanged linear bearing
State the type code — LMF, LMEF, LMK or LMH — and the size, then the number of bushings per shaft and the shaft count. Flange fixings belong to the plate design, but if the plate is already drilled, the flange form and its fixing pattern from the drawing confirm the type. Where the bushing runs with a partner on the same shaft, list the pair as a pair; linear bushings are balanced in service as sets even when they are priced as pieces.
