Cable pulleys and belt pulleys
The pulley set divides by what runs in the groove. The nylon line is the cable pulley: its type is the gym pulley, the wheel that routes the cable in exercise equipment, where a quiet, light, corrosion-free wheel with a bearing inside is the whole requirement. Aluminium gym pulleys run with outside diameters from 70 to 120 mm. Belt pulleys — the toothed wheels a timing belt drives — are specified with their belts on the timing belt page, by pitch and tooth count.

Custom dimensions are the normal order
Pulleys in this line run to a custom frame — bore, pitch, width and outside diameter — because a pulley is an interface part: it must match a cable or belt on the outside and a shaft or bolt on the inside, and both are set by the machine it joins. That makes the dimension set the order. A pulley inquiry that carries the four dimensions and the groove's job — cable diameter or belt pitch — is complete; one that names only the outside diameter is a shape looking for its specification.
Pulleys beside the roller wheels
A pulley and a roller wheel are cousins: both are wheels on bearings, divided by whether a belt or cable drives in the groove or a load rolls on the rim. The sliding roller wheel family carries the load-rolling side — door rollers, guide rollers, seat wheels — in steel, stainless and nylon-plastic. Buyers fitting out gym or cable equipment sometimes order from both lines in one programme; list the pulleys and the wheels as separate items with their own dimension sets, since the groove of one and the rim of the other are specified differently.
Specifying a pulley
State the outside diameter, width, bore and groove job for each pulley, and the material — nylon or aluminium — where the line offers both. The bearing inside is part of the delivery: if the machine already fixes the bearing size, name it; if not, the shaft or bolt size in the bore line is what it is chosen against. Quantities per dimension set complete the list, since custom-dimension pulleys are made against the set, not pulled from a bin of near sizes. Where the pulley runs outdoors or in washdown, nylon is usually the answer, because the wheel itself cannot corrode even where the bearing inside it still needs a sealed closure.
