Linear Bearings & Guides
Straight-line motion in both its forms: ball bushings that run on a shaft, and guide blocks that run on a profiled rail, plus the supports that hold both.

Bushings on a shaft, blocks on a rail
Linear motion splits into two architectures, and this family carries both. A linear ball bushing runs on a round shaft: the LM series is the headline line, running from LM8UU to LM25UU, with flanged variants and housed units around it. A linear guide block runs on a profiled rail: the HGH and HGW blocks are the line there. The two are not interchangeable — the shaft system carries its support with it, the rail system takes its stiffness from the rail — and the choice between them is sorted in full in the blog comparison.
| Line | Series | Runs on |
|---|---|---|
| Linear ball bearings | LM8UU to LM25UU | A round shaft |
| Flanged linear bearings | LMF, LMEF, LMK and LMH | A round shaft, flange-mounted |
| Linear bearing units | SC and SCS series, SC10UU | A round shaft, housed |
| Shaft supports | Support rails and units | The shaft itself |
| Linear guide blocks | HGH and HGW series | A profiled rail |
| Ball screw support units | BK10 to BF20 | A ball screw end |
Sizes across the lines
The LM line runs from LM8UU through LM25UU, and the LM8UU is positioned for 3D printers, which is where many buyers first meet the series. Flanged types give a size span of 10 to 240 mm across the LMF, LMEF, LMK and LMH types, and the housed units run SCS8UU to SCS25UU alongside SC10UU. Guide blocks are ordered by their HGH or HGW type and rail width in the normal way. The bushing range stands on its own on the LM series page.
Specifying linear parts
A linear inquiry names the architecture first — bushing or block — then the series and size, then the count of blocks or bushings per shaft or rail, because linear parts are rarely ordered singly. Shafts, rails and supports belong in the same message when they are part of the order: the flange-mounted branch sits under flanged linear bearings, and the rail branch under linear guide blocks.
