Seven sub-families under one heading
Transmission work rarely orders a bearing alone: the belt, the pulley, the bushing and the locking hardware travel with it. Those companions sit here as seven sub-families — pulley, bushing, lock nut, washer, chains and sprockets, timing belt and belt pulley, and bearing balls — so a drive bill of materials can be priced from one range. Each sub-family keeps its own options, and four of them have detail pages below for the lines buyers specify most closely.
| Sub-family | Lines |
|---|---|
| Pulley | Nylon pulleys, gym pulley type, custom bore, pitch, width and outside diameter |
| Bushing | Brass bushing fittings and steel bushings |
| Timing belt & belt pulley | Rubber and PU belts, widths 10 to 50 mm, pitch 3 and 5 mm |
| Bearing balls | ZrO2, Si3N4, SS304 and bearing steel balls, by grade |
| Lock nut & washer | External-teeth lock washers MB14 to MB17, lock nuts |
| Chains & sprockets | Chain and sprocket lines |
Belts, pulleys and the parts between
The belt and pulley lines are specified together: the belt widths and pitches sit with the open timing belt lines under timing belts and pulleys, and nylon and aluminium pulleys with custom bore, pitch, width and outside diameter under pulleys. Bearing balls are the odd sub-family out — a bearing component sold on its own — and bushings close the set with brass and steel sleeve work.
Specifying transmission parts
These parts are specified by the dimensions the drive fixes: belt width and pitch, pulley bore and outside diameter, bushing bore and length, ball diameter and grade. Those frames are fixed per sub-family, and the inquiry should carry the same numbers — a pulley without a bore is a shape, not an item. Where a part is custom, the custom frame applies: state the dimension set, and the material where the line offers a choice.
